STUDENT ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP IN THE SOC

Student Associate Membership enables full-time students to become familiar with the art and craft of the Camera Operator and benefit from personally getting to know some of the finest and most respected professional Camera Operators in the industry.

Benefits of SOC Student Associate Membership:

• Subscription to the Society’s periodical: Camera Operator magazine.
• Access to meetings, seminars and Society functions.
• Auditing of SOC Workshops at student discount rates, available on a first come, first served basis. (Note: Some seminars are “hands-on” and specifically for working Camera Operators. Student Associate Members may be limited to observing at these events.
• The opportunity to attend the SOC Lifetime Achievement Awards at student discount rates, on a first come, first served basis.
• Access to the SOC Camera Operating Mentor Program.
• If a Student Associate Member wishes to become an Associate Member of the SOC upon graduation they will be exempt from the Associate Membership initiation fee (a $100 savings). SOC Student Associate Membership is only open to students actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate educational programs.

Associate members may NOT use the SOC initials after their names on any screen credits.

Dues are pro-rated as of September 1 of each year. All fees are subject to change by the Board of Governors. Payment and mailing instructions provided on application. ALL CHECKS MUST BE DRAWN ON A US BANK IN US FUNDS.
